PROJECT BRIEF

Way of Will is a brand of essential oils that aims to capture the attention of men by explaining the benefits of all-natural aromatherapy to meet their overall health needs. Arc & Co. Design Collective has been asked to create a brand identity system for Way of Will, which will communicate masculinity and express modernity, sleekness and versatility in order to differentiate it from its competitors. 


As part of this endeavor, the design of the graphic packaging must also be scalable in order to adapt to the expanding product line. For this particular challenge, the obstacle has been determining what would be required to capture the attention of men in an industry dominated by brands aimed at women.

DESIGN SOLUTION

In order to achieve the project’s objective, elements that were historically considered to be more popular with men had to be incorporated into the overall design. As a result, the graphics were designed to replicate sports paraphernalia in order to emphasize the active lifestyle of its intended audience. 


A sport jersey-like appearance is added to the packaging’s principal panel, which features bold numbers that are corresponding to the SKU number of the product. The brand identity incorporates simplicity, chicness, and modernity, all while maintaining an air of sport aesthetic. As a result of working with Arc & Co. Design Collective, Way of Will has grown rapidly, and is now sold in numerous big box retailers across Canada and the United States.
