Wynn Audio came to Arc & Co. Design Collective in need of a custom architectural exhibit booth for the Interior Design Show (IDS) Toronto. Used to showing their products to audiophiles who care more about product than brand, this exhibit would need to attract a less audio savvy client base. Wynn Audio stands for high quality, crisp and clear sound, which can only be heard and recognized if the audience has opportunity to focus and concentrate on product’s emissions. Difficult to achieve in a busy exhibition atmosphere, especially as sound is an abstract element, rather than something tangible for audiences to see or hold.

Arc & Co. Design Collective realized for a laymen audience to concentrate solely on sound, blocking eyesight would heighten the auditory experience of space. The speakers and their quality were something of the “beyond,” and the spatial architecture was conceptualized to match that level of timelessness. Inspired by the modern gramophone, the exterior was fabricated with a brushed gold laminate, mirroring the sleek elegance of a classic technology. Once inside, the audience was enveloped in darkness, the only light being a spotlight on the high-end speakers. The exhibit propelled Wynn Audio to a new level and garnered a lot of attention for the brand. The exhibit was awarded the IDC Innovation Award - Gold for Best Tradeshow Design at the Interior Design Show 2018.
